Why this blog
My intention for this blog is first and foremost to create a small corner of the interweb to save my learnings about a few different topics. If visitors can benefit from my experiences, all the better.
Background
I’ve been working with databases since the middle of 1990’s, primarily with Microsoft SQL Server. Throughout the years I’ve had many roles, from Developer, Database Designer, Solution Architect and DBA and today I work for Tietoevry as a Principal Cloud Architect on the different cloud vendor’s Data Platform Services.
Community
For over a decade I’ve been active in the Microsoft Data Platform community and started out by helping to run the Microsoft Data Platform User Group Norway chapter. Together wih an awesome team I have for the last 8 years been running the largest Microsoft Data Platform conference on Norwegian soil, Data Saturday Oslo (before the pandemic known as SQLSaturday Oslo).
Outside of work
In my spare time you can find me in the woods of my hometown Arendal enjoying my hobby, building trails and riding singletrack bicycling.
